Cafeno in San Juan Batangas

The queens and the Royal Canines spent the Rizal Birthday weekend in Laiya, Batangas.  Everyone had fun - although the dogs ended up really tired from all the excitement they had during the trip.  While we were on General Luna st. ( which I believe is the main street of San Juan, Batangas ) - we spotted a sign for Cafeno.  It is a cafe which advertised that they serve Barako Ice Cream.  We were intrigued by this and we decided that on our way home - we will swing by the place and check it out.

Cafeno is located at General Luna st.   It is an old house with the lower level converted into a cafe.

This is what piqued our interest.  Creamy Barako Ice cream.

They serve local snack favorites like Broas ( or lady fingers ).

It's got a quaint decor. Their floor tiles remind me of the Sta. Ana church flooring.

I find this pattern on the window charming.

These wrought iron tables are popular in the province.  All of my relatives have something like it.

Cafe Barako for 35 pesos.  This is good coffee with a winning price.

They serve Nilupak.  I ordered one tray for "pasalubong"

This is what we came here for.  The Cafe Barako Ice Cream.  It was good. Worth trying.
