The queens and the Royal Canines spent the Rizal Birthday weekend in Laiya, Batangas. Everyone had fun - although the dogs ended up really tired from all the excitement they had during the trip. While we were on General Luna st. ( which I believe is the main street of San Juan, Batangas ) - we spotted a sign for Cafeno. It is a cafe which advertised that they serve Barako Ice Cream. We were intrigued by this and we decided that on our way home - we will swing by the place and check it out.
Cafeno is located at General Luna st. It is an old house with the lower level converted into a cafe. |
This is what piqued our interest. Creamy Barako Ice cream. |
They serve local snack favorites like Broas ( or lady fingers ). |
It's got a quaint decor. Their floor tiles remind me of the Sta. Ana church flooring. |
I find this pattern on the window charming. |
These wrought iron tables are popular in the province. All of my relatives have something like it. |
Cafe Barako for 35 pesos. This is good coffee with a winning price. |
They serve Nilupak. I ordered one tray for "pasalubong" |
This is what we came here for. The Cafe Barako Ice Cream. It was good. Worth trying. |
