Flowers in our Garden

Happy New Year to all of you my dear readers.  We in the Philippines had a long break for New Year's.   While on this break - I got to enjoy the garden in our house.  I took photos of some of the flowers that are in bloom.

Garden Flowers

The house in Baguio has a wide variety of plants in its garden.  We actually see different flowers in bloom - depending on the season.    This is one reason - why my parents and myself love this house.

Pictures paint a thousand words - so instead of writing about the rest of my Sonya's Garden experience - I will just share the rest of the pictures from this beautiful place.

Tree of Life

When I was young, one of my playmates invited me to join them in an expedition to the nearby cemetery. I thought that was cool since I never really ventured out that much since my parents recognize that I get hurt easily. While we were in the cemetery theu climbed a tree of "aratilis". They are berry like fruits that are sweet and yummy. I ate a lot of it. Now as an adult, if you tell me thay I was going to eat fruits from a tree that was grown in a cemetery, i will say no and eww.

Tree at Ayala Triangle Garden

Ayala Triangle Garden is still one of our favorite destinations for walking the dogs. It has a wide open space and there are roaming guards everywhere, giving some sense of security.

It now has a row of restaurants which opened last December. That's good but it also took away our thoughts that this garden is ours.
