Bringing the Bathroom into the Bedroom

In the past twelve months, I have stayed in three different hotels wherein the bathroom has a window which opens onto the bedroom.  The practical use of those window is of course to allow someone to watch TV while they are using the tub.  From space management perspective it does provide an illusion of the room being bigger.  I used to like the idea and when I first saw it in one hotel,  I considered as a layout for my house.  After seeing the second and the third version of such a layout,  I have changed my mind.  As much as I can appreciate the advantage of such a layout,  I realize that I’d like to bathe in private.  Having the window out there, is a little bit too exhibitionist for me.
