When I bought my Canon EOS 60D I got the 18-200 EF-S lens with it. I bought this tele because I was getting frustrated with not being able to take photos of items far away during our trips. I know that my Canon SX-220 can handle the distance - but during post - I noticed that I loose a lot details with the jpg format compared to the Raw format.
Here are some of the test shots I took from my new lens and camera. This demonstrates the capability of the lens. The last photo is a cropped picture showing the high-resolution output of the camera which allows me to crop photos to focus on a detail within the image.
