Fireworks

Like many places around the world,  Filipinos celebrate the coming of the new year by making a lot of noise and lighting up the sky with fireworks.  Char Siew, Midori and I did not have to go far to witness a magnificent fireworks display.  We all trekked to Ayala Triangle where many humans and dogs were waiting for the big event.   Char Siew and Midori didn't like the loud noise - but they loved being pet and admired by the humans.

Here are snippets of the fireworks this year - taken using my iPhone.  I must admit - I wasn't thinking straight - I should have taken this horizontally.

The morning after - I woke up early to walk the dogs.  There is a huge mist/smog that settled around the city.  I guess - for one evening - we forget about global warming and light the sky up even if it means polluting the whole city with the fireworks.

Family Reunion of Humans and Dogs

For December 31, Daddy, Char Siew and I packed up our doggy bag and drove to the Manila Memorial Park to say happy birthday to Great Grandmother Mama 2.   Daddy says he was the one who started calling her Mama 2 - because he calls his mother ( our own grandma ) - Mama.  So Grandma is Mama 1 and Great Grandma is Mama 2.

This year - the Family Reunion at the Memorial park was a great one for Char Siew and me.  We got a lot of noms - and we got to meet our four legged cousins.  Let us introduce you to each one of them.

New Hairstyle for 2012

New Year - New Look.  I was thinking of transforming my look a little bit as I welcome 2012.  Piandre - at Greenbelt 3 was busy - it seems like I'm not alone in looking to get a haircut before the festivities of New Year's eve.

When I saw Stylist Edgar's hair - I told him - cut my hair to look like yours.

BTW - apart from the haircut - I am aiming to trim some inches off my belly.  I've gained so much weight during the holidays.
